In recognition of this important national observance, TriWest Healthcare Alliance is spotlighting one U.S. Army Reserve Veteran’s dedicated duty, resilience, and recovery journey.
Alisa Allen proudly served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1994-2008, including an 11-month deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. When she suddenly received her Iraq deployment orders in late 2002, she had just two weeks to prepare to leave her family – including her two small children.
Upon sudden Iraq War deployment, she found herself in an unfamiliar, intense active duty combat environment she wasn’t prepared to experience.
