“The DAV & Auxiliary National Convention can best be described as a reunion of old battle buddies, friends, and fellow DAV members who have become your extended family.”
The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is a non-profit organization that provides lifetime support for Veterans and their families. Each year, the DAV holds the DAV & Auxiliary National Convention where an estimated 3,000 DAV members, families, and guests gather together to conduct the organization’s business. This year, TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) was honored to continue its longtime support of the DAV as a sponsor at the event.
“The DAV & Auxiliary National Convention can best be described as a reunion of old battle buddies, friends, and fellow DAV members who have become your extended family,” Adrian Atizado, TriWest’s Director of Government Relations and Strategic Communications, says. He has represented TriWest at the event for the last two years.
He says, “My favorite part of the event is meeting with my fellow Veterans and as a TriWest representative, to see if there is anything I can do to educate and help with their health care benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Care Network (CCN).”
This year, TriWest was honored to receive both the National Adjutant Circle and the Champion of Heroes awards at the National Convention. TriWest is proud to support the DAV in their mission to empower Veterans to live high-quality lives.
