2026 Nurses Appreciation Week

National Nurses Week: Celebrating the Commitment of Nurses

“Each and every one of our nurses personify the Whatever It Takes!® spirit that makes TriWest such a special family.” – Dr. Christopher Warner, TriWest Mental Health Medical Director

Nurses are often the first and last people you see at a doctor’s visit. Their compassion, dedication, and resiliency are why they are commonly referred to as the backbone of the health care system.

Across the military and Veteran communities, nurses provide essential care to our nation’s heroes. Whether on the frontlines or on American soil, nurses never back down from caring for those in need.

TriWest Healthcare Alliance (TriWest) is proud to have a team of nurses across its organization who dedicate their work to serving our nation’s military and Veteran heroes.

In honor of National Nurses Week, hear from a few TriWest leaders on how nurses support the organization’s mission.

Amanda Thorne, Supervisor, Clinical Quality

“Our nurses are incredible!” Amanda Thorne, Supervisor, Clinical Quality Amanda Thorne said. As a supervisor in TriWest’s clinical quality management department, Thorne works closely with a team of nurses who make sure quality concerns are promptly addressed.

Like most nurses around the globe, TriWest’s nurses are passionate about their work and ensuring beneficiaries’ needs come first.

“Each of our nurses are committed to serving those who sacrificed so much for our country,” Thorne said. “I am proud of our nurses and to work alongside them.”
